June Adventures

I have been having so much fun at Arohanui this month. It always makes me happy to come here and take part in all my favourite activities.

In computers, we have been watching a documentary about my favourite singer, Ed Sheeran. I learned that his full name is Edward Christopher Sheeran, and that his middle name is Edward too!

We have also continued helping at the Merrivale Community Centre, sorting clothes and books. It feels really good to know that we are helping other people in our community.

In gardening, I have been in charge of the hose. I have to be very careful when watering so that I don’t accidentally spray anyone!

Everyone has been busy preparing for the Masquerade Ball. We have been making masks, learning dance etiquette, and helping to put up decorations. It is exciting to see everything coming together.

My favourite moment this month was when we ran out of flowers for the Waipuna Hospice posies. Luckily, we spotted some beautiful flowers hanging over the fence next door. I proudly carried the bucket while we collected them, and it felt great to help.

In music, I have been enjoying using the microphone to sing songs by Westlife and Bob Marley. Singing always puts a smile on my face.

I also quite fancy being a secretary at Arohanui! I often ask if I can help the girls upstairs and give them a well-deserved break. I enjoy being useful and helping out whenever I can.
